Configuring RackTables

Configuring RackTables
Once RackTables is installed, you will need to configure it to show the information that you require. This includes adding dictionary definitions, tags, attributes, locations, rows and racks. By configuring this information at the beginning you will find that it makes adding devices and servers easier, and that the data entered for each item is much more consistent.

Prior to starting the configuration of dictionary definitions and attributes it is worth planning what data you wish to be held within RackTables, for example CPU, Hard Disks and Ram could all be set at the initial configuration so as to be chosen from a drop down menu when adding servers.
