Cacti Installation For Ubuntu


Cacti
Cacti is an open source web based network monitoring tool front-end for the data logging tool called RRDtool. It’s allow users to check the services at an interval of time and resulting in the graph format

Manual Installation Of Cacti
Updating System
sudo apt-get update

Installation Apache, Mysql, PHP
sudo apt-get install apache2 mysql-server php5 libapache2-mod-php5

Installation RRDtools
sudo apt-get -y install rrdtool

Installion of SNMP & SNMPd
sudo apt-get -y install snmp snmpd

Installation Cacti & Spine
sudo apt-get -y install cacti cacti-spine

Configuring PHP & Click OK

Configuring Cacti Web Server, Select Apache2 & Click OK

Configuring Database for Cacti & Click YES

Root Password of Mysql Database
Type Password

Configuring Cacti
http://localhost/cacti

Click Next

New Installation & Click Next

installation

Click Finish

Default Username & Password admin
Next Enter a New Password

After login to Cacti you will get the Cacti Page Console
Graphs Options

Console
Cacti Settings
Poller, Change the poller Type from comd.php to Spine

spine

Click on Graphs you will get Localhost Graphs will be Displayed
